Nominations open for Inspire Justice Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2023 Inspire Justice Awards, delivered by Skills for Justice.    

Supported by UNISON, HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) and SFJ Awards, the Inspire Justice Awards celebrates and shines a light on the wider justice workforce that helps to keep our criminal justice system running smoothly.    

From call handlers and data analysts to researchers and victim support workers, the wider justice workforce are key allies and partners in enabling front-line staff to maintain public safety and reduce crime.    

Across 11 categories, the Inspire Justice Awards recognises the outstanding achievements of teams and individuals upon whose expertise the justice system is so dependent:    

  • Apprentice of the Year – sponsored by SFJ Awards  
  • Best Newcomer Award  
  • Courts and Tribunals Staff Member of the Year – supported by HMCTS  
  • Custody and Detention Staff Member of the Year  
  • Health and Wellbeing Employer  
  • Inclusion and Diversity Initiative  
  • Learning and Development Programme  
  • Police Staff Member of the Year – sponsored by UNISON  
  • Probation Staff Member of the Year – sponsored by UNISON  
  • Prosecution Staff Member of the Year  
  • Voluntary Contribution to Community Safety & Justice   

Nominations are welcomed from across the community, including from colleagues of the inspirational teams and individuals that represent some of the best and brightest members of the wider justice workforce.    

Nominations will close at 11.59pm on 25 July.    

Following a rigorous judging process, finalists will be notified in September, before the winners are announced at a glittering awards ceremony held at the QEII Centre in London on Thursday 26 October.
