CHANCE FOR RISE RESIDENTS TO HAVE THEIR SAY

Thursday, 19 November, 2009

Residents living in and around Sherwood Rise will have a chance to discuss local neighbourhood concerns at a meeting next week.

Police Community Support Officer Damien Gray will host the Local Action Group meeting at Bar Deux, on Clumber Avenue, on Wednesday November 25th at 7.30pm.

The meeting is open to anyone living or working in the area between, and including, Sherwood Rise, Nottingham Road, Hucknall Road and Valley Road.

PCSO Gray said: "The information we get from such meetings helps the Neighbourhood Policing Team for the Sherwood Rise area to address the issues raised by the residents.

"It's all part of what we call 'You said, we did'. We need residents to tell us what they see as their priorities, to help us devote our time and resources to what matters to local people.

"So, if there is a burning issue or concern in the area, please don't sit at home worrying about it in silence. Come along, let us know, and we and our partners can take action."
