New covert LED from Venta provides a true wide-angle light source

Leading vehicle warning equipment supplier, Venta UK, has launched an innovative LED, which is fitted inside the headlamps of emergency vehicles. Called the CoverLED, it incorporates a 15 LED high-intensity light source, which has been designed to replace conventional 'flash tube' strobe warning lights and power supplies.

The covert LED insert is based on the latest advances in LED technology. Very cost effective, the CoverLED provides a larger light spread than other covert LED products with more LEDs and a true wide-angle light source with no dead spots and requiring no aiming. The insert requires a 25mm mounting hole in any composite style headlight, sidelight or taillight assembly and uses the existing reflector to deliver an extremely bright wide-angle warning flash.

The Cover LED is encapsulated for moisture and vibration resistance and is manufactured with a die-cast aluminium base and safe low-voltage wiring. Requiring no high-voltage power supply, the insert comes complete with compact controller and synchronisation units and is available in blue, clear, red and amber.

Available with either two or four LED inserts, the CoverLED is ideal for unmarked police cars. It will also be a welcome innovation for other emergency vehicles used by the fire and ambulance services as well as the military and highways sectors.

CoverLED is a further addition to Venta's expanding range of LED lighting, which consists of grille and covert lights as well as fully flexible lightbars. Venta UK also markets a wide range of warning equipment including beacons, strobe light heads, stand-alone messaging systems and its groundbreaking new reflective rope ReflexRope.
