About the role
The National Crime Agency is the UK's lead agency against serious and organised crime. Our Investigations Directorate tackles the highest-harm criminals and the most complex threats — from illicit finance and modern slavery to drugs, firearms, child sexual abuse and international corruption.
As a Senior Investigator, you will lead and manage teams working on serious and organised crime investigations. You will act as a Deputy Senior Investigating Officer / Action Allocator, making high-stakes decisions, managing risk in pressurised environments, and working alongside partner agencies to pursue offenders and protect the public.
Every day will be different. You will use innovative approaches and groundbreaking techniques to disrupt criminals who present the greatest threat to the UK.
What we're looking for
You will need:
- Significant, proven experience of supervising serious and complex investigations
- In-depth knowledge of relevant UK and international legislation
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with experience managing and developing teams
- PIP2 accreditation (or recognised equivalent), current/active within the last 3 years
You will also be required to pass an eight-day Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) course within your first six months in post.
