MSc Police Leadership and Management
The MSc Police Leadership and Management programme is specifically aimed at Police Officers and civilians within the force and has been developed to respond to the needs of contemporary police professionals. In an era in which policing is becoming devolved to local levels, officers and civilian employees face increased responsibilities for managing staff and resources, devising and implementing policing plans, accounting for budgets, and a host of administrative duties. These tasks require skills and knowledge that have not been traditional components of police training programmes. Equally, most other management courses focus on issues relevant to the private sector and do not take into account the public service dimensions that are central to policing.

The MSc in Police Leadership and Management bridges the gap between the principles and requirements of policing as a public service and the techniques and principles of contemporary management.
