Lianne Toye receives a cheque from DC Geraint Hiscocks and other members of the Bridgend CID 3 Peaks Team

Last summer, a team of sixteen police officers and staff from Bridgend CID successfully took on the challenge of conquering the three highest mountains
in Wales, England and Scotland within 24 hours to raise funds for Welsh cancer charity Tenovus.

Detective Inspector Jason Redrup of Bridgend CID said: "We set ourselves a target of raising at least £4,000 and are delighted that we have now been able to hand over a cheque for a total of £4,235 to Tenovus.

"Everyone who took part in the 2010 challenge found it extremely rewarding and we are now considering what our next challenge could be." Tenovus Head of Corporate Sponsorship and Events, Lianne Toye, recently called at Bridgend Police Station to receive a cheque for the money raised and thank those who took part in the 2010 Challenge.
