Why waste retirement doing a boring civilian job?
You've decided to take a break and draw a well-earned pension, maybe take the dream holiday or buy the sports car you've promised yourself over the last 30 years.
But what's next? Life has changed since you joined the force, children need funding through university, mortgages are flexible and encourage you to upgrade and most of all you are fitter, better educated and more demanding than your parent's generation were at your age. Are you going to get a job - and if so who for and where?
Do you really want to tie yourselves to another employer? Why not take the break you've planned and then go back to the world you know so well and where you are appreciated?
No-one's suggesting you return full time of course, but you can return in a way that protects your pension and gives you the enjoyment you used to experience, doing the specific things you want. You can choose where, when and for how long.
RIG Police Recruit provides ex-officers with temporary assignments in forces nationally. The choice of what work to take, where it is based and for how long, is entirely the ex-officers decision.
RIG has developed a special scheme to allow you to maximise your earnings with the minimum of administrative effort. RIG's partner is a specialist accountancy practice, which has been supporting self-employed consultants for 15 years and helped 10,000 to realise their dream of independence.
Assignments RIG has filled over the last two years include;
• Investigators
• Duty Officers
• Training Officers
• SIO Mentors
• Fatal Accident Investigators
Locations include;
London, Surrey Sussex, Essex, South Wales, Thames Valley, Hertfordshire, Midlands, Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Northern Ireland.
Dilution
The UK's forces are experiencing high levels of retirees caused by the huge recruitment drives of the 70's and ever higher targets set by the Home Office. The result is a massive dilution of policing skills, particularly in the southern counties. In response HMCIC, Edmond O'Dowd, recommended the establishment of a national database of retired officers who can be brought in at short notice to bolster a forces skill base, work on large-scale investigations and improve results against detection and conviction targets. In reality the list is endless, RIG has provided experts in the issuing of body armour, burglary crime project officers with local authorities, and even SIO mentors in Afghanistan.
RIG will work on your behalf to find you temporary work, by representing you to Police Force customers who need your talents and commitment. There are no charges to you for this service as all costs are met by the force which employs you. All you have to do is register your interest with RIG Police Recruit on 020 8249 6380 or visit www.policerecruit.co.uk
"Leaving the force was my biggest mistake. Through RIG and their team of experts I've taken the opportunity to go back and do the job I love when and where I want to" (DS Jerry Lloyd - PSNI)
