Our Public Counter Teams are the first points of contact for the community visiting our Police Stations to report a crime, seek advice or ask for our assistance with a wide range of problems and issues. We are looking for people with excellent communication skills and highly accurate keyboard skills to be part of our Public Counter Services to help us Make Nottinghamshire Safer and provide high quality services to the people living, working and visiting our great county.
The ability to professionally and considerately deal with all visitors including those who maybe aggravated, distressed or in need of assistance is essential, as is the skill to make operational judgements in relation to enquires.
Your role as a Enquiry Officer or Station Support Officer will also include providing administrative support to operational police officers and as no two days are ever the same in supporting frontline policing we guarantee you’ll have a future with us filled with variety, interest and rewarding challenges.
Part Time Positions: On City Division the majority of part time positions are 25 hours per week working Tuesday to Friday 13:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 10:00 until 15:00. There is currently a vacancy although in addition successful reserve applicants will be placed on a pass list for future vacancies throughout the Force.
Full Time Positions: Full time posts work 37 hours per week, exact shift patterns dependant on location. Shift patterns range from 8am till 4pm Monday to Friday up to 24 hour a day, 7 day per week. Whilst there are not any full time vacancies at this time, we still welcome applications and successful reserve applicants will be placed on a pass list for future vacancies throughout the Force.
Current vacancies are based at stations across the City: The City Division is made up of the following stations: Central, Radford Road, Oxclose Lane, The Meadows, St Anns, Canning Circus, Bulwell, Broxtowe, Wollaton, Sneinton and Clifton. Please note that vacancies could be at any of these stations.
