GMP is one of the largest police Forces in England and it recognises that training is critical to keep officers and staff safe and successful when delivering a world class service to the community.
It is our role to examine what training is required to ensure that everyone can perform their job competently. Working alongside colleagues in our Learning and Development Branch, we are looking for someone to help the Force identify the skills, understanding and behaviours required to achieve this.
You will assist the organisation to develop by researching and identifying issues and solutions to training and development related issues, carrying out Training Need Analysis (TNA’s) and training evaluations.
Supporting the force with change linked to training you will participate in and manage a broad range of projects for senior and command clients. You will identify appropriate methods of analysis to carry out projects successfully, conducting and reporting on analysis, advising on outcomes and making recommendations. You will also advise customers on compiling business cases for new training, ensuring full consultation with stakeholders.
As a Graduate CIPD, or with equivalent training qualification you will have knowledge and experience of training, TNAs and evaluations. You will have managed and delivered projects applying HR and training techniques to real life problems. Your work will have involved using complex information and carrying out evaluations and training needs analysis across an organisation.
An understanding of research methods, analysing data and building professional relationships with colleagues and customers is essential to this role.
