W8 - £22,761 rising to £23,949 in three annual increments

One Permanent Position and one 2 year Fixed Term Contract
Wiltshire Police are seeking an experienced information compliance practitioner to work as a member of the team responsible for the processing of requests for information from members of the public and other sources in compliance with relevant legislation. The post is based at Chippenham Police Station with direct responsibility to the Force Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential in order to respond to requests for information.
An in depth knowledge of the rights conferred on individuals by the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts is a central function of the role, you will preferably be a holder of the International Standards Examining Board certificate in Data Protection or Freedom of Information or will have experience of working within in a Data Protection or Freedom of Information specific post.
