You will liaise with the Security Service in relation to national security and terrorism and with national agencies in relation to domestic extremism ensuring the confidentiality and security of information and intelligence in line with NIM and GPMS standards.
You will effectively apply correct force procedures when dealing with intelligence and an understanding of policing within the wider context of social issues and the local community together with knowledge of local and national counter terrorism and extremism structures.
Knowledge of the FIB and OPUs, current affairs; local, national and international and of legislation relating to the gathering of intelligence e.g. RIPA, CPIA and HRA are essential as is the ability to use all aspects of GMPICS, OPUS and COPU and a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
