You will provide essential analytical support to the Force Intelligence Bureau in identifying force crime patterns, trends, series and networks. It will involve the preparation of both Tactical and Strategic assessments which are vital to ensuring the prevention, targeting, disruption and detection of crime.
You must be an excellent team player, with the capacity to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads. The ability to learn a variety of new computer packages quickly and competence in the Microsoft Office suite of applications (specifically Word and Excel) is essential. You must have excellent interpersonal skills – this should include presentation skills and the ability to deliver verbally and in the written form. This role would suit a self-motivated individual who is willing to use their initiative and innovation skills to contribute to the analytical department at the Force Intelligence Bureau.
You must be educated to ‘A’ Level (or equivalent) standard or possess relevant experience. Research and problem solving skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret and develop inferences from data and experience of statistical methods. Knowledge of Crime Analysis tools and methodology and working within a police environment would be desirable.
