Headquarters, Chelmsford, Crime Division.

Duties include undertaking research, indexing and providing effective administrative support, utilising a number of applications in support to Major Investigations. You will be responsible for providing effective administrative support to Major Investigations using HOLMES 2 (Home Office Large Major Enquiry System) and other systems in accordance with Force and National policy.

You must be computer literate and methodical with communication, organisational and time management skills. It is essential you are a team player, assertive, professional and able to work with minimal supervision within a confidential environment.

You may be required to work at various locations within the Essex Police Force area or in other force areas. You will also require access to a vehicle for work purposes or access to transport to enable travel in connection with your duties.

There will also be an open day at Essex Police Training College on Saturday 26th January 2008 between 1000 hours and 1430 hours if you wish to discuss the role with a staff member from MICAS and speak with our Human Resources Department regarding your application.
