Owing to the expansion of the Force’s Fleet Managers Conference a new vacancy has been created for an Event Co-ordinator. The post holder will be based at Headquarters but must be prepared to work on occasions at various locations in the UK. Whilst the post is part-time at 20 hours per week, the ability of the post holder to work longer and more flexible hours at busy periods of the year is essential.

The post holder will be responsible primarily for the day to day co-ordination of the NAPFM Event as well as other associated conference and events; handling all enquiries by telephone, email, internet, fax and post as well as maintaining the appropriate records including the updating of parts of the website. The post holder reports to the NAPFM Event Manager and will also brief the consultant(s) on the current position of the event. They will liaise with exhibitors and delegates in order to produce various programmes, adverts and information required for world wide distribution. They will handle all bookings from exhibitors, delegates and visitors, as well as handling hotel bookings for delegates, speakers and guests. Also assist in ensuring the smooth running of the conference and exhibition.

Knowledge of event or conference co-ordination is desirable.

The ability of the post holder to work to tight deadlines and have good communication skills is essential.
