Hours 37 hours per week. Hours will be 08.00 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 – 16.00 Friday.


This challenging role that forms part of the Criminal Justice process, focuses on evidential review and quality assurance of files presented to Court for trial, ensuring they are in line with national and legal guidelines. The files will range in complexity from large files prepared for Crown Court for often high-profile offences to a high volume of bulk crime cases dealt with by Magistrate’s Courts. Supervising a team engaged in gathering evidence and compiling files, you will also provide feedback on the quality of files presented by police officers.

With proven customer service skills and experience of engaging effectively with people at all levels, you will have strong analytical and decision making skills and be capable of working to tight deadlines. You will be required to pay meticulous attention to detail and have strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills. Experience of managing workloads against resources would also be ideal. An Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) qualification in Criminal Law and procedures or equivalent experience of the Criminal Justice system is desirable, however training will be provided.
