Telecomms Liaison Unit / CAB Officer- Guildford
We are looking to recruit for this combined role within the Central Authorities Bureau / Telecommunications Liaison Unit based at HQ.
Your role will involve facilitating all legal authorities as set out in the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. This will include advising on surveillance authority issues and ensuring that records are kept up to date, whilst maintaining a high level of security within the Bureau.
With further training the post holder will also be involved in Telephone / Internet investigations and the processing of Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS) related matters.
In order to be successful in this role you will have a good understanding of covert methods of investigation, the European Convention of Human Rights and legislation concerning surveillance issues. You will have good interpersonal skills in order to liaise with internal and external agencies.
