Hours of Work: Full Time (37 hours)
This is a great opportunity to work as a communications officer for Lincolnshire Police. The posts are based at Grantham and Lincoln. You will be responsible for devising and delivering media strategies; providing a fast, authoritative and accurate response to media enquiries; designing pro-active media campaigns and preparing media releases. You will be a proven self-starter and be able to work alone as well as part of a team.
You will have proven experience of working in a communications role, journalism or a PR agency and have a developed knowledge and understanding of UK media (print, broadcast and online).
You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to draft compelling news releases, brief journalists and dynamically promote the positive profile of the division.
Possessing creativity, drive and ambition you will be able to demonstrate an ability to develop relationships both within the Force and with journalists and other appropriate external people, which support the division’s media activity.
You will provide an on-call rota with Force media colleagues to respond to major incidents throughout the county.
