Salary: £17,106 to £26,028 p.a. (career graded) plus shift allowance (likely to be around 12%), 6.5% weekend enhancement and car user allowance (car user allowance currently under review)
Taking photographs, recovering fingerprints using the appropriate enhancement techniques to obtain forensic evidence for laboratory examination. You will play a vital part in assisting police at major crime scenes, attending post mortems and the scenes of other serious incidents.
You will have experience of the resolution of problems within a customer-focused environment, liaising with people at all levels and therefore have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. As a Crime Scene Investigator who has passed the Centrex NTC Crime Scene Investigators Initial Course or CSI training course, you will be self-motivated with a flexible attitude and have experience of producing accurate and concise written work and reports.
Applicants must possess a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a job related assessment and successful applicants will be required to attend a medical and provide a DNA sample and fingerprints.
Hours: 36.25 per week rotating shifts between 08.00 and 21.00 hours Mon-Sun
