Records Officer - Guildford HQ
Surrey Police recognises that the efficient management of its records in all formats is integral to the provision of its core functions. The Records Office is responsible for the management of those records and is currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and self-motivated individual to join the busy team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the records are classified correctly and material appropriately documented and stored. In addition, you will be helping in the implementation of the new electronic document records management system.
To be successful in this role, you should be educated to A level standard or equivalent with GCSE English at grade C (or equivalent), or suitable experience and knowledge in classification, indexing and filing records within the Records Management industry. You must have the ability to analyse, extract and accurately record information as well as strong administration skills, with an eye for detail, neat handwriting, accurate keying in skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. You will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people. The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative is essential.
Due to the nature of this post, the holder may be required to work Saturdays on a rota basis. It is also essential that the post holder possess a full driving licence.
