Salary: Starting on £15303 and rising to £15303 p.a. (after relevant satisfactory service)
Job Description: Do you have the skills to convince a reluctant witness to come to Court to give evidence? Are you an efficient administrator, who can liaise with witnesses, ensuring that accurate records of their availability are maintained and provided to the necessary public bodies, as required?
As a Witness Care Officer, based in one of our Criminal Justice Units, you will provide a valuable link between non-police witnesses, the Crown Prosecution Service and the Police, working to make sure witnesses attend Court when required.
Posts exist within both Central and Southern division, when submitting your application, please specify your preference.
With GCSE English (Grade C minimum) or equivalent, you will be able to type to RSA I standards, and will hold a full current driving licence. You will be an excellent communicator, with a willingness to work in sometimes stressful or difficult circumstances, and will be able to maintain high levels of motivation. You must also be a capable administrator and will be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and targets.
