Workforce Modernisation Project Officer– 14 month contract

Wiltshire Police have been selected as a national pilot demonstration site to work with the National Policing Improvement Agency in developing the capacity and efficiency of the service through modernisation. The Project aims to review areas of the policing service business, assess and analyse opportunities for change, through development of working practices, ICT provision and critically the balance of staffing and tasks completed by Police Officers and Police Staff within these areas.

This Business Change Process means working flexibly within a small Project Team, led by a senior police officer, and working to a Programme Board in directing the work. Work will be varied and may require some travel, mainly within the county, but above all delivering work to sometimes tight deadlines. We are therefore seeking to appoint a Project Administrator for 14 months.

This post holder will be energetic, motivated and above all flexible in tasks and roles performed as deadlines may require such.
You will primarily run the day to day aspects of the office, working with an assistant in managing the small project budget, liaising with internal and external partners involved in the business review including the NPIA.

You will need be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint.

You will have the ability to build excel spreadsheets as required including use of formulas, collate and research information on the internet and be able to produce management reports regarding performance and where appropriate make recommendations to improve performance.
You will be able to provide and present information for Management purposes and have excellent communication skills.
