Training Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible, energetic and highly motivated individual to join this dynamic and challenging department, as a Training Officer. Reporting to the Control Rooms & Enquiries Department Learning & Development Manager, you will deliver a wide range of training, including initial modular induction training courses and crime training for new staff into the Police Enquiry Centres. You will verify and support the department’s OCR vocational qualifications and provide ongoing support, motivation and development for staff. The role will also involve training needs identification, design and delivery.
With substantial experience of working in a Police service environment, you will possess good knowledge of operational procedures and policies in a Control Room & Enquiries department. In addition, experience in a role focusing on staff development is essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative and be highly resilient.
The position will be based primarily at Headquarters North, Kidlington but will require flexibility and travel throughout the force area.
The working week will be 0840 – 1700 Monday to Thursday and 0840 – 1600 Fridays. However, in order to provide for different student needs, you may occasionally need to work evenings.
