The postholder is accountable for the effective running of the operations of the Criminal Justice Unit. The postholder will also be responsible for the Strategic direction, the implementation and monitoring of business and strategic plans as created by the CJU management board, ensuring best practice and compliance with all internal and external regulations and procedures. The postholder is to effectively manage the staff in CJU, delegating within the structure to ensure that management of the day to day workload priorities is maintained and ensuing work procedures are followed and applied to the correct standards.
