Experienced Crime Scene Investigator
Maximum Salary £23,949 per annum plus overtime £20,457 per annum rising to £23,949 through a progression scheme dependant on experience, plus allowances
Swindon
Full time, 37 hours per week
We are seeking to recruit an experienced CSI to be based at Swindon station. You will gather forensic, photographic and fingerprint evidence from incident scenes.
Applications will be considered from candidates who have attended and passed a recognised CSI or VCSE course, have relevant work experience or have a relevant science degree. Due to the nature of the role you must be able to work within a pressurised environment in what are sometimes distressing and traumatic situations. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
Working within a team, you will be contracted to 37 hours per week on a shift rota (0800 – 1600 or 1400 – 2200 hrs) over 7 days – your rest days will vary. In addition there will be a requirement to participate in a standby roster on a rota basis. You should therefore be flexible in your approach to working hours.
