In the role of Client Intervention Worker/Independent Domestic Violence
Advocate you’ll be working within the Three Rivers District. You’ll provide
emotional and practical support to victims of domestic violence and race
and hate crimes. You’ll undertake a variety of administrative duties,
conducting initial risk assessments whilst taking into account victims’ needs
and wishes in line with the co-ordinated response to domestic violence.
You’ll work and liaise closely with outside agencies, informing them of
identified family support and child protection concerns in line with relevant
legislation. You’ll maintain contact with victims, advising them of their
options and work with partner agencies to assist and support them,
arranging meetings as necessary. In addition, you will support the
Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences.
You may be required to attend court including the forthcoming Special
Domestic Violence Court to give evidence or provide support. This role
demands commitment, sensitivity, attention to detail and an enquiring
mind.
