Due to continued development of the Constabulary’s Occupational Health Service, we have a vacancy for an Occupational Health Officer to work from our Hereford division.
Candidates will need to be a First Level Nurse, preferably with a qualification in Occupational Health. We would be happy to consider applicants who have experience in Occupational Health or GP Practice background.
You will be dealing with staff and officers at all levels of the organisation and will report to the Occupational Health and Welfare Manager at Headquarters.
You must be confident and outgoing with a ‘can do’ philosophy. Good communication and presentation skills within clerical consultation and meeting environments are essential, as is a flexible approach to meet demand. The post is stand-alone with full support facilities from Headquarters Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Team, therefore self-motivation and initiative are key.
Full ongoing training is provided to support NMC registration.
There is a need to travel around Hereford division on occasions and to Headquarters as required.
The post is for 3 full days or 4 part days, subject to business needs. West Mercia Constabulary would be happy to consider family friendly flexible working arrangements.
