Assistant Scenes of Crime Officer - Lincoln

Salary Grade E (SCP 8 to 13) £14,604 to £16,347
+ weekend working allowance


Working as part of a small team, based in Lincoln, the successful applicant will have responsibility for policing services in respect of volume crime scene examination. This will include the recovery and interpretation of evidence in a professional and ethical manner in line with force and government priorities.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

Education to GCSE grade C or equivalent in English Language or vocational qualifications of a similar level

Excellent inter-personal skills

Self motivation and the ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise their own workload

Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure

Good observation skills and attention to detail

With training the ability to prepare and present evidence at court

An understanding of diversity

Honesty and integrity

Hold a full driving license


Applicants must be able to work alternate weekends (Rest days will be allocated during the preceding week) and attend a three week residential training course in Durham.
