Hours 37 per week - Monday to Sunday (plus appropriate allowances for shift and weekend working)

An opportunity has arisen within the Intelligence environment, based on Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood Division, for the post of Local Intelligence Officer.
Primarily, within an intelligence-led and problem solving environment, you will be responsible at Divisional level, for effective co-ordination and continuance of the intelligence cycle and level 1 National Intelligence Model (NIM) processes.
You will also ensure the rigorous maintenance of the quality standards of intelligence, briefing databases and systems.
With knowledge of current patterns and trends in criminal activity, you will have an ability to contribute towards intelligence-orientated matters in modern day pro-active policing and have responsibility for monitoring the quality of service intelligence.
You will be able to determine solutions to problems through logical analytical assessment and demonstrate innovation and the exploration of new concepts with a view to improving Police performance and quality of service to the public.
Competent in the use of computer based intelligence systems, you will have an awareness of current developments of all levels of intelligence, in particular the National Intelligence Model.
Good communication skills both written and oral are need in this role.
Successful reserve applicants will be placed on a pass list for the same job, which may arise in other areas of the Force over the next 12 months.
