Coroners Officer - Coroners Office - West Parade, Lincoln
An opportunity has arisen for a Coroners Officer based at West Parade Police Station. This role is rather unique and requires a special person to act on behalf of Her Majesty’s Coroner.
You will be required to administer arrangements surrounding sudden or suspicious death and these will include attendance at such incidents and the collation of evidence relevant to a death. Attendance at post mortems will also be required, as will the giving of evidence at Court. You will regularly have dealings with HM Coroner, members of the public, pathologists and Police Officers. To succeed you will need excellent communication skills and a calm, mature and sympathetic attitude.
You must have significant work experience, and previous employment in a relevant profession such as criminal investigation, or a medical environment would be an advantage. You must also possess a full car driving licence.
