British Transport Police (BTP) are the national police service for Britain’s rail network, providing a policing service to rail operators, their staff and passengers throughout England, Wales and Scotland.
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to lead a dynamic and innovative analytical team, working at the heart of intelligence led policing for British Transport Police.
Managing the analytical structure across the North West Area, you will be responsible for the overall corporacy and quality of analytical products, and for managing the performance, training and development of your team.
With excellent IT and communication skills you will be able to formulate accurate, timely and professional written reports and deliver effective presentations conveying complex information. A proven problem solver, you will have experience of researching, analysing and disseminating large amounts of complex information from a wide range of sources, enabling the identification of important issues and risks. Exceptional team-working, planning and organising skills are also essential for the post whilst experience of supervisory responsibility would be desirable.
Experience as an analyst, (preferably within a law enforcement or other public sector environment) is essential, with accredited intelligence analysis training and the ability to use analytical software highly desirable.
