Statistics Audit Manager - Statistics Department, Business Change Directorate
You will manage the program of auditing the Crime Recording System and Incident Recording System to ensure compliance with the National Crime Recording Standard and Home Office Counting Rules. Your responsibilities will encompass review and implementation of policies, management and supervision, data recording and collection and audit and data quality control as well as membership of National, Regional and Local Groups and Boards.
To be considered you will need previous experience of working in a managerial and administrative capacity, previous experience of Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR), NCRS and NSIR, criminal law and police procedures regarding recording and detecting of crime. You will also have experience of working in a statistical / numerate environment and experience of interrogating computerised data bases and using Microsoft packages including Word and Excel. You will be willing to travel throughout the Force area and to other locations around the country as required. In addition you will have experience of research and gathering information from a variety of sources, will be able to identify problems and concentrate on issues that support the broad organisational strategy.
