• Description To provide a
comprehensive Programme Management support service, supporting the Frontlinefirst Programme Management team in the management, development and delivery of the BTP's Frontlinefirst Programme and all relavent projects within this portfilio i.e. HR Transformation, Area Reviews etc.

To manage the Frontlinefirst communications workstream including relavent newsletters, and the intranet site.

To provide a proramme quality assurance role, and ensure that all projects within the Frontlinefirst Programme are compliant with BTPs project management methodology.

To maintain all programme level documentation, including project plans, risks and isues logs, fincial logs including the Forcelevel efficiency register.

To undertake research on specific national programmes and projects, and other effiency groups and other relavent networks such, as Police Efficiency Group, on behalf of the Frontlinefrst Programme Manager and Benefits realisation Manager.

Essential Criteria

The post holder must have experience of working within a project environment.

Knowledge of PRINCE II project management methodology or another relevant project management methodology.

Excellent planning skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Project.

Experience in developing databases displaying an advanced use of Excel and Access.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to work with staff at all levels and to develop networks within Force Headquarters and Areas.

Must have the ability to work using their own initiative and to produce work to a high standard within tight timeframes.

Must display the ability to work unsupervised and, where necessary, take corrective measures and manage effectively routine risks and issues that may arise on a day to day basis.

Excellent use of Microsoft Office.

Must have an understanding of BTP's commitment to equality of opportunity and valuing diversity, and the ability to translate this into action.

Desirable Criteria

Experience in use of Visio and Immediacy (web development tool)
