This is an excellent opportunity to take on a management role in the Forensic Investigation Unit of Thames Valley Police. You will provide the Force with an efficient and cost effective Forensic Submissions process making the best use of forensic science and technology in support of crime investigation, detection and reduction.
You will have extensive forensic knowledge and experience as well as an understanding of police procedures and legislation in order to control and developthe Force central Forensic Submissions process. Additionally you will be required to participate in the on-call crime scene co ordinator rota responding to major crime cases.
Experience in the management and development of staff is essential to this role as is the ability to communicate effectively with Police officers (of all ranks) and scientists alike. The role will require you to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You should have experience of analysing performance data and monitoring budgets. Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2001 and experience of managing contracts or suppliers would be advantageous.
