Salary: Starting on £15687 and rising to £15687 p.a. (after relevant satisfactory service)
Job Description: The post is primarily working out of Parkside Police Station in Cambridge, but may require travel to other police stations. This role is also 18.5 hours per week and so the salary will be pro rata.
You will be expected to provide a professional first line quality customers service to members of the public contacting the Police Station by telephone or in person. You will be establishing and maintaining records for the Overseas Visitors Registration Department, ensuring legal compliance, and to provide a clerical service to ensure that visitors are lawfully registered and legal action can be pursued where necessary.
You will be responsible for amending records for Foreign visitors already registered which have had conditions altered by means of relanding, extensions of stay granted by the Home Office and changes of address for example and when necessary you may have to attend non police locations in order to conduct registrations.
You must be educated to GCSE grade C in English Language, or equivalent, and have previous experience of working in an office environment undertaking basic administrative tasks. Previous experience of working in a customer facing role is also essential for this role.
