ARCHITECTURAL LIAISON OFFICER - HQ CORPORATE
DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT – COMMUNITY SAFETY BRANCH (Ref.
39/08) JOB SHARE 14.8 HOURS PER WEEK (TUESDAY AND FRIDAY)
As Architectural Liaison Officer you will study planning applications and liaise
with Architects to provide crime prevention advice.
Ideally candidates will possess City & Guilds Level III/ A Levels (minimum
2)/or BTEC National in a relevant subject e.g. Technical Drawing, Crime
Prevention, Architectural Liaison or an approved equivalent.
Applicants not in possession of the minimum qualifications will be required to undertake the Critical Reasoning Test Battery Series and must achieve a
pass in both papers.
It is expected that applicants will have a least 3 years professional experience
including experience of Crime Prevention and building industry knowledge together with at least 1 year technical experience IE analysing and
interpreting plans and one years administrative experience.
Advanced literacy skills e.g. for the composition of original reports at a
strategic level are expected along with sound numerical skills and good
computer/ keyboard skills for the input and retrieval of information from
spreadsheets / databases.
