The successful candidates will report to the Force Vetting Officer and work within the established Force Vetting Unit. The successful candidates will operate the procedures, processes, filing systems, service levels etc. of the force's vetting policy.

Once established, the successful candidates will be required to carry out vetting casework by researching the background of candidates for appointment with the Constabulary, meet performance targets and contribute to the development of the vetting team and operation.

This will be an interesting, challenging and exciting opportunity to be involved in helping to ensure that West Mercia Constabulary maintains it's security and integrity. The post requires excellent communication skills and you will be educated to GCSE standard at grades A-C in English and Maths or equivalent.

The successful candidate will have previous administration experience in a team environment and the ability to prioritise and manage a high and diverse workload. Previous personnel vetting experience would be an advantage.

Interviews will be held week commencing 28th April 2008.
