Working to promote the four licensing objectives of the Licensing Act 2003 you will liaise with police officers, the licensing authority, outside agencies and the general public in the dealing of licensing applications. This will include attending meetings at various locations in the area and visiting licensed premises. You may have to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the role.
Good communication skills are essential, as is being organised and methodical in your work, with the ability to analyse and assimilate information and prepare it in differing formats to meet the needs of difference audiences. You must have good word processing skills and the ability to learn various IT systems. You will need to gain a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation and where necessary provide guidance and support to operational officers. Covering the south of Oxfordshire there will be a requirement to travel around the county.
