The Business Development Unit is responsible for delivering a professional service to Essex Police by ensuring delivery of Force Development Change Programmes to time, cost and quality constraints. The department has a diverse range of projects currently running such as the Management of Police Information (MoPI), the Professionalising Investigation Programme (PIP), Strategic Regeneration and other smaller projects. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join the team and to manage the implementation and delivery of a range of projects.
You will have proven project management experience including working knowledge of project management methodologies and budget management. You will be a strong leader with well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills. You will need to operate at a strategic level and to effectively communicate strategic goals across all disciplines of the business and externally.
Flexibility in working is required to meet the needs of the business and there will be the occasional requirement to travel country-wide.
