Receiving and recording telephone information from anonymous callers using the National Crimestoppers free phone number, you will research and disseminate intelligence to crime management units, specialist departments, other forces and agencies. In addition, you will liaise with the Crimestoppers charity and the media.
Able to display effective communicative and organisational skills together with tact and discretion, you should possess a good standard of education with GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in English and Maths, or other relevant vocational experience. You should have experience of working within an administrative environment. Keyboard skills would be advantageous as the role requires the preparation of publicity packages and formulation of statistical returns.
You will be expected to liaise with Police Areas, the local Crimestopper Board and other relevant agencies to provide expertise in arranging local Crimestopper initiatives.
