PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To support the Focus Performance Review process by undertaking inspection and compliance checking of BCU's and Departments. The results of which will enable Chief Officers to effectively provide support and hold senior management teams to account for their performance levels.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To report to the FPR Inspector, and provide support to the Force Performance Officer.
• To inspect and compliance check BCU's and Departments against their Business Plans, within Focus Performance Review (FPR) and Departmental Performance Review (DPR) processes.
• To analyse and interpret data recorded within a variety of Force systems.
• Through inspections and analysis of processes, to evidence assessments of differing levels of performance, having particularly regard to efficiency and effectiveness.
• To produce written reports and confidential briefing for Chief Officers and Senior Managers and to present data and compliance testing findings for the FPR and DPR processes for use by Chief officers, BCU Command Teams and Department Heads.
• To identify, develop and implement good practice within Force and elsewhere.
• When required, to attend pre inspection meetings with BCU Command Teams and Department Heads.
• When required, to attend and support Chief Officers at Chief Officer FPR meetings.
• To continue to develop and improve the inspection and compliance testing processes operated by the Force.
N.B. On an occasional basis, the post holder will be required to work unsocial hours at locations across the Force-area.
