Criminal Justice Unit Witness Care Officers - Chippenham
£15,576 rising to £16,464 in two annual increments
3 Roles - one full-time 3 year Fixed Term Contract, one full time role 37 hours per week, one part time role 18.5 hours per week
The Witness Care Unit has been established to provide a quality and consistent service to victims of crime, as part of the national No Witness, No Justice project. It is likely to expand in the future to deal with all guilty and not guilty cases.
Expressions of interest are sought for a number of vacancies that may be arising in the near future. This multi agency unit is based at CPS offices at Fox Talbot House in Chippenham. This role involves contact and support for victims and witnesses of crime, to provide them with details of the judicial process, court cases, any requirement for them to attend court and all relevant results. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, to given deadlines, as part of a multi agency team.
