Motor Vehicle Technician - Doncaster Garage
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and servicing of motor vehicles, motor cycles, plant and auxiliary equipment owned, leased or loaned by South Yorkshire Police. You will carry out preventative maintenance and servicing to a high standard, repair faults and carry out recovery of police vehicles as required.
To join our team you will need substantial previous relevant experience following an indentured apprenticeship ideally in a main dealer outlet. You will have a full driving licence and City and Guilds/NVQ 3 in Motor Vehicle Engineering. With sound knowledge of motor vehicle technology, you will be able to work unsupervised to deadlines, be able to identify problems and draw logical conclusions. Ideally you will also have experience in the recovery of vehicles.
