Specialist Driver
Boreham, Transport Services Department.
We are seeking a flexible and reliable professional to take on a wide range of driving duties. You will recover vehicles involved in major incidents and collisions, ensuring that forensic evidence is preserved and deploy specialist equipment to crime scenes and events. On occasion, you will also be involved in police operations. You will also maintain vehicles and act as an occasional driver to the Chief Constable and Senior Police Officers.
You must have experience of driving large vehicles, supported by an LGV licence. PCV and HIAB crane experience would also be an advantage, as would possession of a Recovery Certificate. However, training in all these areas will be provided. It is essential that you require minimal supervision and can work flexibly to cover service needs.
