Crime, Incident and PNC Auditor - Guildford
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional individual to join our Force Crime and Incident Team within the Strategic Support Directorate.
Your role will be to provide an internal auditing service for crime, incidents and Police National Computer (PNC) records, to ensure compliance with legal, national and Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) requirements and force policies and procedures. Part of this responsibility will involve examining the quality of the data held and making recommendations on improvements where applicable. Training for internal systems and processes will be provided to the successful candidate.
You will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and ideally possess experience and knowledge of incident handling and crime classifications or be willing to attend and be successful on courses. You will ideally have experience in or display an aptitude for auditing as well as a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Computer Misuse Act and the Official Secrets Act. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation, providing advice and guidance where required. In addition, you should have the ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively, work without supervision and to tight deadlines. Experience in the use of Windows based applications is also essential.
Suitable candidates who may not have all the necessary experience required for this role will be considered.
