Administration Assistant – RM - Guildford HQ

We are seeking an Administration Assistant to work within the Records Management Department at Surrey Police Headquarters. This role would suit someone looking for their first office job, or even someone who already has office experience and is looking for a change of environment.


Working as part of a team dedicated to providing an Information Service and Central Archive facility to the Force, you will be assisting in the processing and storing of official files, records and correspondences. Central to this is the maintenance of records, which have to be accurately maintained. The records are currently held on a manual system but work is under way to convert the records to an electronic document records management system. Therefore, we are looking for someone with good keyboard skills and the ability to work in a versatile manner in order to use both systems.


We are also looking for someone who can work as part of a team and can work accurately under pressure. You should have neat handwriting, basic computer skills and have obtained or be expected to achieve a GCSE or equivalent in English Language (Grade C or above). Basic office skills are desirable but are not essential.
