Due to internal promotion the West Mercia Constabulary’s Estate Services team, now require a Capital Team Manager.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage and be responsible for a Capital Project team that is an integral element of Estate Services being responsible for briefing, feasibility’s, design, procurement and build of a capital programme of a value circa £20m per annum.
The work is diverse, including partnership projects, influencing strategy both locally and at national level.
Projects are delivered either in-house or utilising a select team of external consultants. The team act as Project Managers on all Capital Projects and will on some occasions undertake the architectural work in house.
The post would ideally suit an experienced and results orientated manager with a proven Architectural or Surveying background and substantial Project Management experience looking to expand their potential. An ability to communicate successfully, both internally and externally, with senior managers, client departments, external consultants and contractors is essential. The work will range from brief development, design, co-ordination of teams, financial monitoring, procurement and full project management duties.
