Criminal Justice Unit - Divisional Property Officers
£17,040 per annum rising in two annual increments to £17,937 per annum
Two vacancies have arisen within the Criminal Justice Department for Property Officers based within Divisions, one at Melksham and the other at Swindon. You will have responsibility for the management of all Special Property and the Drug Recording System within the relevant Division ensuring compliance with Legislation and Force Policy. You will have to support and give guidance to police officers and staff regarding their use of the system, challenge misuse and act robustly to reduce the volume of property that is retained.
This is a demanding role which will require you to have good organisational skills, a high degree of accuracy within your work, be competent in the use of computers systems and be able to communicate well with a variety of people both inside and outside of the Force. You will be expected to work independently with the minimum of supervision using your own initiative; however you will be part of a wider team and thus must be able to work with other staff in support of the Division and Force.
