Information Security Officer
Based in Wigston
£26,154 - £29,115 (regrade pending), 37 hours wper week
To implement information security within the force and monitor compliance with national guidance and force policies and procedures.
It is essential that applicants:
-Have gained a degree in Information Security, or a related subject, or demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of information security management - aspects of which are physical security, personnel security, IT security and the secure management of information - ideally in the context of a large organisation;
-Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of, and understanding of, issues relating to ISO17799;
-Demonstrate proven skills in the application of information security issues in an IT environment;
-Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and oral, together with a high degree of self-confidence, assertiveness and diplomacy;
-Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organisation;
-Demonstrate the ability to work independently, and also as a team member, to demanding deadlines;
Hold a current driving licence for a motor car.*
