We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Occupational Health Advisor to join the Occupational Health team.

Working alongside the Force Medical Officer and the Senior Occupational Health Advisor, you will be responsible for providing professional Nursing services to promote the health and wellbeing of Surrey Police personnel. This varied role requires you to monitor sickness absence, assess and monitor individuals returning to work after a period of sickness, and provide support to sickness management groups.

You must have a qualification as a Registered General Nurse, and have a degree or diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational health and have demonstrable experience of working within Occupational health. In addition you will also need to have a full knowledge of all current developments in Occupational health and Health & Safety. The ability to work autonomously and be accountable for making professional decisions are essential. The successful candidate will have well developed interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work calmly, accurately and with sensitivity when under pressure.
