DIVISIONAL FACILITIES MANAGER, SHROPSHIRE DIVISION
Grade WM 7 Salary scale £25,248 to £28,368/£29,112
Appointment is normally at the bottom of the salary scale.
Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week
Based at Shrewsbury Police Station, you will be required to travel around the Divisional Stations within the North Shropshire, South Shropshire, Bridgnorth and Oswestry areas on a regular basis.
We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual who will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 15 people. The department is responsible for a range of activities including maintenance of police owned buildings, management of seized and found property and procurement.
The successful candidate must have:
A formal management qualification – to Diploma or NVQ 4 level or equivalent
A formal Health & Safety qualification – minimum IOSH Managing Safety Certificate or equivalent.
The ability to study for NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal
skills with an ability to influence and negotiate with others
Extensive experience in delivering an administrative support service
Proven ability to work under pressure, managing a high and diverse workload
Extensive experience of facilities management, including project work and budget management
Experience of implementing health & safety policy and procedures
Experience in the management and supervision of staff
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
A commitment to continuous personal development
